There were two artists I fell in love with in the year I graduated from high school, way back when in 2007. The first one was Bruce Springsteen. The Killers, and especially their Sam’s Town album, were the second. Maybe not unsurprisingly, as many parallels are drawn between that album and Springsteen’s Born To Run. And no wonder they appeal to a seventeen-year-old boy’s heart: both feature tales of growing up, leaving home and finding out who you are… all covered under a thick layer of American romanticism. And oh yeah, Brandon Flowers ain’t bad looking either!
