Today it’s a very happy birthday to John Fogerty! My first introduction to John was in 2000. Back then, he was opening for Tina Turner during her mega huge summer stadium and festival tour. I saw the spectacle twice that year at the tender age of ten. Of course I came for Tina. I remember the front row was always filled with extremely enthusiastic Fogerty fans. Probably because at that time he only recently had begun playing Creedence material live again, leaving behind a 25-year grudge and legal battle. I got to hear Proud Mary twice those nights! His 1997 Premonition live album is a favorite of mine. Keep rocking, burning and rolling down that river, Mr Fogerty!
